If you’re reading this, there’s a chance that you’re aware of the World Cup fever that’s soon to be (if not already) going to be sweeping the nation. Women across the land are holding their heads in their hands as their significant others get patriotic about their country – whether they enjoy football or not.
But, have you thought about the opportunities that this great season has?
Stock photography has always been an important factor in marketing – and will continue to be a huge part of campaigns for centuries to come, we’re sure.
As most of you are probably aware, accompanying a blog, a newsletter or an article with a photograph brings your words to life; it helps keep the reader’s attention and to be fair, has a great deal to do with drawing your reader in too.
Of course, this is great news if you’re a photographer – and great news if you’re looking for some great sports photography too…because you’ll be able to find exactly what you’re looking for right here!
If you’re new to taking snapshots of sport, we’ve pulled together some great (and simple) tips that are absolutely sure to make your sports shoot go more smoothly.
It’s massively important that you know your camera inside out. If you know it back-to-front, you have a much better chance of pulling something great together.
Understand the sport you’re taking pictures of. This might sound obvious but by having a clear knowledge of it, you can prejudge and estimate movements which means you can be in a much better position to take the photo.
Don’t be afraid of allowing yourself to get up close. People like to see the nitty-gritty in detail!
And finally, every picture should tell a story of some sort; let your camera narrate the game and before you know it, you’ll have sports fans eating out of the palm of your hand!
Sports photography is a really fun way of expressing your technique and we have no doubt that once you’ve tried it, you’ll love it. And, of course, if you’re looking for great images, you needn’t look any further…!
