Every Monday we pick one image from the library and make it free for seven days — a full-resolution download under the same Standard licence as everything else on Photofolio, no strings.

This week: Spilled diesel fuel on surface on ocean water, close up, blue and yellow patterns.

From the Mint Images collection. You will find it under abstract, and the original is 8,688 × 5,792 pixels — comfortably enough for print.

Not the obvious shot. It has atmosphere, and it will not look like every other site in your sector.

How to claim it

Open the image page and add it to your basket as normal: the price shows as £0.00 until Monday 19 October. Check out (you will need a free account so the licence is recorded against you) and the full-resolution file is in your downloads straight away.

What you can do with it

Websites, social posts, presentations, print, client work — the Standard licence covers commercial use with no credit required. It does not cover reselling the file itself or using it in a way that is defamatory to anyone in it. Editorial-only images are never chosen for the free slot, so you can use this one commercially.
