How it works
Apply
Create an account and tick “I am a contributor”. Tell us a little about your work and link to a portfolio if you have one. We review every application, usually within a few working days.
Upload
Add high-resolution JPEGs (4 MP or larger) with a title and keywords from your contributor dashboard. Model and property releases are needed for commercial use of recognisable people and private property.
Get paid
Customers buy with credits or a subscription; you receive 65% of the licence fee on every download. Balances are paid monthly once they reach £25.

Technically: sharp, well-exposed, colour-corrected JPEGs in sRGB, minimum 4 megapixels, no borders, watermarks or heavy filters. Illustrations and vector artwork are welcome as JPEG previews with the source file attached.
Questions
Do I keep the copyright?
Always. You grant Photofolio a non-exclusive licence to sell licences to your images; you can sell the same images elsewhere and remove them from Photofolio whenever you like.
How and when am I paid?
Earnings accumulate in your contributor balance and are paid monthly by bank transfer or PayPal once the balance reaches £25. You can see every sale in your dashboard as it happens.
How do you price images?
Standard collection images are 1 credit (currently £6.00 bought singly, less on packs and subscriptions). Premium images are 3 credits. Your 65% is calculated on the licence fee actually paid.
What about releases?
For commercial licensing, images with recognisable people need a model release and images of private property need a property release. Without one, images are sold for editorial use only. Templates are available in your dashboard.
Can I sell illustrations, vectors or video?
Illustrations and vectors yes. Video is coming — tell us in your application if you shoot it and we’ll let you know first.
