Photofolio is a UK stock photography library built from the work of independent photographers. This page is for journalists, picture editors, researchers and broadcasters who need images quickly and want to know exactly what they are allowed to do with them.
Licensing images for editorial use
Every image on Photofolio can be licensed for editorial use — news, features, reviews, documentaries, education and commentary — from 1 credit (£6), with the full-resolution file available the moment you check out. Editorial use does not require model or property releases; images that are editorial-only (recognisable people or private property without a release) are labelled on the image page. Read the licence or our editorial versus commercial guide.
Fast-response collections
For breaking and running stories, these collections are kept current: UK, London, healthcare and NHS, education, energy and industry, data centres and IT, small business and seasonal weather. Or browse the Editorial category.
Crediting
Please credit Photographer name / Photofolio where a photographer is named on the image page, otherwise Mint Images / Photofolio. Details in how to credit a photographer.
